"I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being." -Oscar Wilde

Hula

Went to the beach again today on my afternoon break.
Rehearsals have been going relatively well for Andrews Brothers.
They were supposed to be off book for all of Act 1 this morning, but we only JUST finished blocking Act 1 last night. Not to mention the fact that they've also got music and choreography to think about.

You can definitely tell the show was created with a 40s-esque mindset. One woman.. Three men.. all of which have a detriment stopping them from reaching what they want. Sounds like the Wizard of Oz to me.

Asha & Dan are love interests in the show, which Aaron (our light designer) isn't too happy about. She's only about HALF his size. (I had to get creative with their duet dances.)

He's the same height as her when he SITS DOWN:
Well, lifts certainly won't be a problem. ;)

Here's a clip of me teaching the boys the Hula. Dan doesn't seem too thrilled, but we'd all had a long day, and the whole thing is about 6 minutes long.
I'll try to get some better footage sometime later in the week.

That's all for now, folks! Go out and do what you love! :)
